Following the Pocono debacle, Denny Hamlin finds himself at the center of a high-octane storm once again. Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin were teammates last year at Joe Gibbs Racing, but Kyle switched teams and moved to Richard Childress Racing this year. However, he revealed insights into the SRX crash by referring to his former teammate. After Tracy’s suspension from the racing series co-owned by Tony Stewart, Busch compared his ex-teammates with the Pocono winner.

Kyle Busch appeared in the SRX racing series’ third Venture in Virginia. Paul Tracy was involved in a wreck that seemed avoidable, but it led to damage to a lot of good drivers as well as the cars. However, Tracy is suspended for a race after the incident, and Kyle Busch utters bold words about the incident.

SRX has become famous within the US and gained a lot of appreciation within a few years. The Tony Stewart-owned series features the best drivers on the track, of which Paul Tracy is one. He is known for his aggressive driving and has won many Indycar series to his name. But the third race of the SRX brought him a suspension, followed by his controversial move with Josef Newgarden.

It was the moment with 11 laps to go, Rowdy leading the field while Josef Newgarden and Paul Tracy were on fifth and sixth. The moment they came close to the finish line after the final turn, Paul aggressively pushed Joseph into the outside wall, lost control of his car, and damaged many cars, including those of Hailie Deegan, Ken Schrader, and Josef Newgarden.

After the race, Tracy called the incident part of “Hard racing” and didn’t take responsibility for the crash. Tracy said, “It was just hard racing at the end there, 10 laps to go and everyone’s going for it hard. It’s a tough track to get off the corner. It was just a bad deal for everyone.”

Kyle Busch compared his racing attitude with the recent talk of the town and said, “I don’t know that he did a move, I just think that he had absolutely zero situational awareness and thought that he was far enough ahead of the guy on his outside that guy should lift and get out of the gas. He must have learned from Denny the week before.”

Well, every series emphasizes safety and takes appropriate steps against these kinds of incidents. As this was the second time in the season that Tracy and Ken Schrader collided, SRX immediately took the bold step of suspending Paul Tracy.

Kyle Busch recently talked about how modern races have changed and the vicious cycle of racing. Earlier, drivers used to give space for the faster ones to pass and wanted the same favor in return. However, nowadays drivers try to block their competitors as long as they can and are sometimes involved in side-by-side battles, which sometimes give a P3 driver the opportunity to make his move and take the lead.

Kyle Busch shed light on this strategy and recalled the incident with Denny Hamlin after he recently made a somewhat similar move to Kyle Larson.

Busch was heard in the interview at Richmond, “With the cars being more equal you don’t want to get stuck side-by-side with somebody and allow a third-place guy to come into the fray. So, you want to disburse of that guy as fast as you can and the easiest way to do that is run them out of the groove”

“Denny (Hamlin) might be a little remiss and have forgotten about him doing the same move to me back in 2010 or 2011 at the All-Star Race. He’s done it for a lot longer than 10 years” Kyle concluded.
