NASCAR is a sport that is fueled by intense rivalries, where drivers push themselves to the limits to come out on top. Whether it’s between Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain or another pair, a beef between drivers is always what makes the sport more captivating for fans. After yesterday’s practice run for the Clash at the Coliseum, NASCAR drivers Chase Briscoe and AJ Allmendinger seemed to have landed into an all-out beef.
As per a recent Twitter post by a Jayski editor, Dustin Albino, the incident involving Briscoe and Allmendinger happened during a practice session at the Coliseum. The journalist added a picture that highlighted certain parts of a conversation with Briscoe regarding the matter.
Briscoe said that he was surprised when AJ Allmendinger caused him to crash during the practice session. The SHR driver thought Allmendinger was going to let him pass. Instead, he drove Briscoe into the fence.

He acknowledges that he drove too hard, but does not think it was worth crashing cars over. Later on, he called the situation unfortunate.
NASCAR fans react to the new beef between Briscoe and Allmendinger
Whatever happened between the two was certainly not worth it during practice. Either of the drivers’ moves would have been understandable if this was the actual race. However, damaging the only car you have right during the practice session, with no backup car, puts them in a tough spot.
