Last weekend, William Byron took his second career victory in the NASCAR Cup Series. His first win came at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at the Daytona International Speedway. Recently, the driver spoke to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio and compared both wins, saying that his Daytona win was a lot more exciting.
On the other hand, he declared that the Homestead win yielded more rewards.
He said, “This one is more rewarding, because of the fact that its a performance-type race track. You really got to bring a good car in it. It’s a little more indicative of the season and the race tracks that we run on. That for me is the excitement level for the season is really high after this race.

Admittedly, Byron’s win has ensured that the Hendrick Motorsports team has had at least one win in the last 36 years. The 23-year-old was in sublime form at Homestead-Miami and stormed up from 31st on the grid to win the race. It just goes to show that the Hendrick Motorsports team are stamping their challenge for the crown.

While William Byron may have drawn first blood, his Hendrick teammates will not be far behind.
In addition to that, there are many more drivers from rival teams who are keen to join in on the action. Joe Gibbs Racing has already established itself as a threat, after Christopher Bell bagged a first career win for them. However, teams like Stewart-Haas and Team Penske will not be far behind either.
