Monster Energy is a name all NASCAR fans will recognize. The 20-year-old brand today has a 30.1% share of the American energy drink market. Not just fans of this sport but also people worldwide have invested their time and money in the never-ending energy. With that much energy to offer, it was only natural for Monster Energy to tie up with a sport like NASCAR. Having been a part of Tyler Reddick and Ty Gibb’s cars’ identities, the company has established itself as one of the more fashionable sponsors.

Energy drink companies like Red Bull and Monster have invested heavily in motorsports. While Red Bull has been far more extensive, running teams in various motorsports and sponsoring breathtaking stunts with specially trained athletes in different locations—the second highest after Red Bull—Monster Energy has been relatively quiet. A previous title sponsor of the Cup Series, it has been limited to two cars and unsatisfying liveries nowadays. But things might change soon, and the wind has caught up to the fans.

Martinsville will be the last shot at claiming a championship 4 spot for Tyler Reddick. He is 10 points behind the cutoff line, with #12 driver Ryan Blaney occupying the final championship spot. With Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell already locked in, Reddick’s chances are already in grave danger. #24 driver William Byron has a 30-point lead and will probably be the third driver to go to Phoenix with something to fight for.

For Tyler Reddick to stand a chance, Ryan Blaney has to finish with minimal points, and the former with some more than him. A win would guarantee them a playoff spot, and that seems like the only right way to go about it after coming this far in the series. To increase his chances of winning, primary sponsor Monster Energy has produced a sublime finish on the latest pain scheme unveiled by the team on Twitter.

With the company’s flagship black and green dominating the hues, the faded colors add a sense of threat to its presence. Could Tyler Reddick be the same beast that his car is in Martinsville? That remains to be seen but going by what the former RCR driver has shown us this season, he has rightfully earned his name as one of the dark horses of the competition and could surely spring a surprise next week.

As a great combination of the colors of Monster Energy, the company has been deficient in the aspect of creativity in paint schemes. Apart from Tyler Reddick, it has sponsored Joe Gibbs Racing’s #54 Ty Gibbs this season, and there isn’t much difference in that either. The 23XI driver’s fans have been crying out for an interesting scheme for a long time, and it looks like their wish has been fulfilled.

A Redditor, happy with the change, commented, “See Monster, with just a little bit of effort, you can improve a scheme tremendously.” while another appreciated it, saying, “Holy s**t an actual design.”

“I don’t know what made Monster suddenly start trying on schemes but it better continue next year” reiterated another fan, taking a sly dig at their inability to paint it better.

Tyler Reddick has had some great paint schemes this year, and the most eye-catching one would probably be the one he raced at the inaugural Chicago Street Race earlier this year. Although that was not sponsored by Monster, the 23XI driver might have felt out of place seeing other cars within the team and other drivers get attractive schemes. A fan hinted at Monster regaining its art, as he wrote, “Monster FINALLY getting creative outta no-where, now allow diecasts again.”

“Finally, after 20 years, Monster Energy has learned that deviating from their primary paint scheme will bring them more eyeballs. Shoulda been running this car all year TBH”
