How does one define a legend? Is it someone who has amassed huge popularity, carved their name in gold in a given field, and left their imprint on the sands of time? Well, there can be no one definition of legend, and it is subjective in nature. However, there can be no denying that the world of NASCAR is replete with the stories of such legends and their paths to glory.

Dale Earnhardt’s seven championships or Tony Stewart’s finding success in different formats of motorsports have often posited them as one-of-a-kind. However, having a knack for different forms of sports and finding success in every field requires a different level of dedication and motivation, and this NASCAR legend stands testament to that, especially after his recent outings on the baseball field.

Sports enthusiasts are having a gala time as the various series make their headway and occupy the main slot of the television channels. While NASCAR approaches its final legs, avid sports lovers are ready to jump and consume the feeds from the other sports formats. Moreover, it is not just the common masses that are ready to soak themselves in different sports tracks but also the stalwarts like Dale Jarrett.

Being multi-faceted and finding success in each format is something Dale Jarrett is already synonymous with. Hailing from a racing family, motorsports ran deep in his veins; however, it was golf more than NASCAR for the legend, and he also received a scholarship from the University of South Carolina. Nevertheless, it was not long before he found his calling and was ready to don his attire as a driver and follow in the footsteps of his father.

The Hall of Famer was seen trying his hands at batting and also throwing pitches ahead of a game involving the Arizona Diamondbacks. He successfully hit the pitches that were thrown at him.

NBC posted on their official Instagram page of their NASCAR analyst performing his feat with the words, “@nascar legend Dale Jarrett took batting practice AND threw out the first pitch before Tuesday’s @dbacks game!”
