Earlier, we revealed that Reddick’s son apparently referred to Chase Elliott as “Daddy Chase.” Which is really hilarious and a bit sad for Reddick. Just imagine your son calling your colleague his father.
Apparently, Reddick’s wife tried to teach their son that the number 8 car was his father’s car. But instead of referring to just the number 8, he started calling all Cup cars “Daddy’s car”. With time, he slowly started drifting toward the number 9 car’s color scheme and figured out who its driver was. Since then he started calling that car “Daddy Chase”.

Reddick explained, “So, he’ll say ‘Daddy Chase!’ He’ll point to a Cup car and try to say, ‘Daddy’s car, Chase.’ But it’s ‘Daddy Chase’.” Reddick finds this to be funny but also at times he feels disappointed if someone were to be mentioning it out loud and to his face. But we hope as his son grows up he will learn the difference between “Daddy Chase” and “Daddy Tyler.”
