After a horrible first half to the season thanks to factors like bad luck, poor pit road incidents, and more, Bubba Wallace and 23XI Racing in general, made somewhat of a recovery in the last few months. However, it seems now, that Michael Jordan’s NASCAR team is once again falling down on their luck.

For the past two weeks, Wallace’s #45 has suffered through some mechanical problems along with his current teammate, Ty Gibbs also facing some issues of his own, albeit some were self-inflicted.

Regardless, 23XI Racing headed into Talladega, and even before the race started, they announced some bad news.

“Bubba Wallace team changing an engine and will go to the rear but it was not an engine issue per se as much as an overheating issue … Ty Gibbs had an oil leak that was repaired and will go to the rear,” journalist Bob Pockrass reported.

This led to a lot of criticism from NASCAR fans. Most of them argued how Wallace, who is looked as the star driver in the Jordan-Hamlin project, would ever be able to reach his potential if he has such equipment.
