It might look like an easy job but in reality, becoming a pit crew member is more daunting than you would think! Team 23XI has endeavored to improve its pit crew functioning so that it can end up joining the elite teams. But is it that easy?

Well, Charlotte recently experienced a crossover that one would never expect. The 6 time NBA legend’s previous home team, Charlotte Hornets, and Jordan-Hamlin-owned Team 23XI had a crossover! While one might think that there is absolutely no common point between the two teams, it is a given that only Michael Jordan could make this a possibility.

For anyone who loves the NBA, the Charlotte Hornets have indeed got a special place in their heart. This is one of the best teams and it has been the home team for Jordan for the last 15 years. This time, the city of Charlotte has witnessed a unique crossover between its two most promising teams, with Jordan being the sole common factor between the two. While it might seem to some that the collaboration between NASCAR and Charlotte Hornets is not natural, given the unique nature of the two teams, the glimpses offered by Team 23XI will take you on a roll.

A common recruitment strategy that NASCAR teams follow, particularly when it comes to pit crew members, is that they hire former college football and NFL players. Why so? Hiring athletes can help them improve their efficiency and ensure that they can be as proactive as needed. However, recently LaMelo Ball and his team had the chance to come forth and experience this unique task. Walking a mile in the shoes of the pit crew seemed to make them understand how difficult it is to be that much up on your toes.

Team 23XI offered a glimpse of the video which showcases NBA stars having certain expectations about how fast they can be as pit crew. However, the video then quickly transcends to reality where they have slowed down considerably and find it difficult to work too fast. While this is a hilarious take on how expectations vs reality work when it comes to speed, it does hold a clear picture of how hard teams end up working. The post read, “We’ll let them stick to their day jobs. 😂Thanks for stopping by Airspeed, @hornets. 🏀🤝”.

Can Michael Jordan's magic turn Team 23XI into NASCAR's next powerhouse, or is it just a dream?

Have an interesting take?

Team 23 XI, co-owned by Denny Hamlin and NBA legend Michael Jordan is on the path to strategize their teams more. The idea is to elevate the operations at the Airspeed Training Facility which is the hub of team functioning. Improving the same will ensure that the team can join other elite group teams like Joe Gibbs Racing and even Hendrick Motorsports. Although the collaboration is a fun take, it highlights how pit crews are tirelessly working their best to provide drivers with a forward push toward the victory line.

NASCAR responds to team 23XI’s injunction

It seems as though the legal battle between Team 23XI and NASCAR is getting worse with every passing day. NASCAR has once again denied the plea from Team 23XI to opt in for a temporary charter despite the ongoing lawsuit against the sanctioning body. This comes as a response after the the two teams in the battle, Team 23XI and Front Row Motorsports filed for a second injunction with the hope of securing a charter for the 2025 season.

NASCAR made an official announcement that stated how the teams have failed to bring forth any new area of attention that would lead to a reconsideration. The announcement read, “Even with their manufactured evidence, Plaintiffs still fall far short of a clear showing of irreparable harm. Their new submissions underscore that any claimed harm remains speculative, self-inflicted, and redressable with monetary damages”.

The declination of the second injunction as well has led to difficult times for both Team 23XI and Front Row Motorsports. Not being chartered teams for the 2025 season will lead the two teams to compete as open teams which is indeed quite risky. While currently, the teams have not been able to gain a top spot in the Cup Series for the upcoming season, things could end up taking a turn at any stage.
