Tyler Reddick may have already claimed the regular season trophy, but is that all he wants this year? Being the only 23XI Racing car in the playoffs, he has a shot at bringing home the Cup Series Championship, but everyone has their weaknesses. Although he finished the Atlanta race at P6, his boss pointed out one of his weaknesses.
Team co-owner Michael Jordan has been making headlines every time he surfaces in front of the media, and not for the best of reasons. 23XI Racing does not have a charter deal for 2025, and that’s cutting in on the team spirit. One of the best ways for Reddick to change the energy in the team is by bringing home the Cup. For that, of course, Reddick will have to work on his weaknesses and get better, so let’s take a look at what Jordan believes Reddick lacks.

Tyler Reddick’s weakness was unfolded on the September 12 episode of Kevin Harvick‘s Happy Hour. After winning the regular season championship, it’s obvious that people want to know what is going through Reddick’s mind into the playoffs. Harvick was curious to know about the relationship between Tyler Reddick and Michael Jordan.
That’s when the 23XI Racing driver revealed the story about the first time he met his team boss. Reddick explained, “You know, I got the chance to meet with him before my first year started; I spent some time with him. We were down in Daytona before the 500, a year and a half ago, and I don’t know, me, him, and Bubba were talking about something—Speedway racing.”
Reddick then explained that despite not remembering exactly what he said to join in on the conversation, he remembers what Jordan told him in response to that. Reddick explained that after listening to what the driver had to say, Jordan replied, “Man, you don’t have any room to talk. You’re terrible at Speedway racing.”
“He just kind of took a shot at me, and I wasn’t expecting it,” said Reddick. Speaking about the team boss’s candid responses, Reddick explained, “You know, Michael loves cutting it up, if you will. So for me, I wasn’t expecting that.”
