At the Talladega Superspeedway, history was made when Bubba Wallace took his maiden Cup Series victory. Like with the Xfinity race, this race also. ended prematurely, and Wallace was leading at the time of the stoppage. As a result, the 23XI Racing driver has become the second African-American Cup winner since Wendell Scott in 1964.

Obviously, 23XI Racing owner Michael Jordan was utterly delighted with the win. He said, “I’m so happy for Bubba and our entire 23XI Racing team. This is a huge milestone and a historic win for us. From the day we signed him, I knew Bubba had the talent to win. Denny and I could not be any more proud of him. Let’s go!”

Of course, there were many who reacted to Wallace’s triumph. Among them were Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and many more.

Without a doubt, it was truly a special occasion for the #23 driver. As mentioned before, this is the first time the Cup, Xfinity and Truck Series boasted of a first-time winner in the same weekend. In the Truck Series, Tate Fogleman triumphed, while Brandon Brown seized victory in the Xfinity Series race.

Who else congratulated Bubba Wallace for this incredible win?

Even the likes of NFL star, Alvin Kamara sent his well wishes. Another person who congratulated Wallace was Xfinity Series driver Daniel Hemric. He wrote on Twitter, “The talk will be about the history made today, what a huge deal it is for the team and all partners involved…..But I want to say just how damn proud I am of BubbaWallace for the person he has been through everything! Love you brother, NASCAR Cup Series Winner!”

Among his rivals, Daniel Suarez admitted that he and his team did not execute their wet-weather strategy well. Nevertheless, he was still happy that Bubba Wallace got his maiden visit to Victory Lane. Even Kurt Busch admitted that he had a lot of fun on the race, though he was not overly fond of the weather conditions.
