Despite struggling this season, Bubba Wallace earned a respectable finish at Martinsville last Sunday. With 3 DNFs already in this campaign, a lot was at stake at Virginia for Wallace. He came through with a ninth-placed finish but there was a twist to it. The 23XI Racing driver was caught shoving boss Denny Hamlin on the track, which created a lot of chatter. However, his recent act makes it look like it never happened.

Hamlin and Wallace have more often than not shared an amicable relationship despite occasional run-ins on the tracks. While last Sunday’s incident had all the ingredients of creating some friction in their relationship, the Alabama-born driver’s recent social media antic seems to have greased it all over.

A lot was assumed after Bubba Wallace punted Denny Hamlin multiple times at the recently concluded Martinsville race. However, it was worth noting that Hamlin first made the move on Wallace before the incident took place.

In fact, Hamlin recently explained the details of the event, one of them being him asking the 29-year-old to “get off his a**.” While fueling emotions and exchanges are a common sight at NASCAR tracks, some residual tension was still expected between Hamlin and Wallace.
