Just as Matt DiBenedetto was trying to find his foot in the Truck Series, his fans were jolted with saddening news. For the last few weeks, his future in the competition looked bleak with him struggling to find a seat for the new season. However, things took a wild turn when he was rumored to be joining Kaulig Racing in the Cup Series.
Unfortunately, the move did not materialize in case there was any truth to it. It only got worse when the 32-year-old announced on social media that he would be able to participate only in a part-time capacity in 2024 with a sponsor deal going south.

At the end of 2023, DiBenedetto left a cryptic message with a “🖊️” sign. While that gave plenty of hope to his loyal fanbase, the latest update on his future was nothing but disappointing. The frequency of his part-time participation remains uncertain.
DiBenedetto said, “So, we’re just gonna have to let 2024 racing stuff play out, part-time, whatever opportunities fall our way and are meant to be, and are the right fit.”

It is indeed a pity and while DiBenedetto looks out for other options, he insisted his fans stay positive. Surely, it is a big loss for the Truck Series as things stand. On the other hand, the fans made sure they gave the former Joe Gibbs Racing driver the morale support he needed.

Still think you’re easily a top 30 driver in the world.” Fellow motorsport driver Julia Landauer also spoke on similar lines as she said, “Hate that for you, know how tough that is. Hang in there!”
