Sometimes, NASCAR can be a bit of a family business, with fathers and sons, and siblings racing on the same track. Prime examples include the Pettys, the Earnhardts, the Jaretts, the Buschs and many more. Now, there are more familial racers, like Martin Truex Jr and his younger brother, Ryan Truex. Recently, a NASCAR fan posted a picture of the younger Truex and made an interesting comparison.

According to them, he looked a lot like Kyle Larson, if he was in ‘FBI witness protection’.

Of course, since this picture was doing the rounds on social media, it wasn’t long before Truex himself noticed it. Safe to say, he was pretty perplexed, and it was evident from his retweeted response.

Other fans also noticed, and they cracked plenty of jokes about the whole crazy situation.

As per one person’s observation, he looked more like a mix of Corey LaJoie and Martin Truex Jr. “No its truex and lajoie fused together”

“He looks like another Ryan…Blaney”

“I’ll tell my future kids that’s Tim Richmond”

“I think he looks like a younger version of @kylepetty myself?!”

“90’s @kylepetty vibes”

“Throwback of all throwback looks”

How has Martin Truex Jr’s brother performed in the Xfinity Series?

The 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series has been pretty kind to the younger Truex sibling. As it happens, the 31-year-old snatched his first career win at Dover. To make matters even sweeter for the Truex household, Martin Truex Jr reached Victory Lane himself in the subsequent Cup race. So that weekend was a great one for the Truex family, and Ryan’s win was not a one-off.

All throughout the campaign, he has been turning in great performances. To be precise, he notched up back-to-back Top 3 finishes at Phoenix and Atlanta. In all five of his appearances in the Joe Gibbs Racing #19 Xfinity car, he has never finished lower than 17th. To make matters even better, this weekend at Darlington, he is starting in 2nd place, alongside John Hunter Nemechek.
