In a recent interview with Frontstretch, Muniz emphasized the importance of staying at the front of the pack and racing cleanly in order to win the championship. In a series as competitive as the ARCA Menards, consistency is key. Muniz understands this and is focused on maintaining his position at the top of the points standings.
Talking about his journey thus far, he said,
“You know it’s funny how two races ago I had never raced the ARCA race. I just wanted to show up and you know see where I stood, where I finish.“Phoenix—you know I kind of showed that I could compete in this series. And I don’t want to say … I’m definitely not disappointed with the 9th-place finish. Top 10 is always good in any series, but at the same time, like I got up to the front and then made one mistake and got trained by like 20 cars, and went back to the back again and had to start over.
“But you know, I’m learning.”

He added that the Daytona race was a great learning experience, which helped strengthen his strategy for Talladega. Similarly, he hopes to use the lessons learned at Talladega at future superspeedway races. Happily, he added, “I mean being the I guess unofficial points leader is insane. You know, I want to win the championship. I’m gonna do everything I can to try and stay there.”
