Former Cup Series champion Kyle Busch has never shied away from making an appearance or two on TV for the betterment of the sport, and the community. He would not mind doing it for the second season of Netflix’s NASCAR: Full Speed. However, Rowdy was not that big of a part in the first season of the show, despite making it to the playoffs, perhaps because he did not go very far in it. But if season 2 were to happen and Rowdy made the playoffs again, there might be significantly more screen time for the veteran race car driver.
Will Kyle Busch be one of the stars of Netflix next year?
Kyle Busch has already been part of NASCAR docu-dramas, as he had a big role in one created by the USA Network. Moving on from that to Netflix would look huge on his resume and Rowdy would also have a certain level of international acclaim. NASCAR: Full Speed was viewed in several places apart from the US, including Australia and several European nations.

“I’d consider it, sure. I don’t know what’s happening on that front. They asked last year but I had done it the year before, and I was already there and let everyone in already the year prior, but that was the (USA Network) show and there was a lot of good reception from the Netflix show so I do think it’s worth considering,” the former Cup Series champion said as per a report in Sportsnaut.
Not every driver can be a part of the Full Speed series. One must at least qualify for the playoffs to be featured. However, sometimes even that is not enough, as Kyle Busch found out last season.

If there was a series like this back in the late 2000s or early 2010s, Rowdy would have undoubtedly been one of the stars of the show. However, in the first season, he was not even featured. This came as a shock to a lot of fans. He might have had a good year in 2023, but the perspective on things during a poor season of a multi-time Cup Series champion is something fans would have loved to see. Rowdy, though, was never really mad about it.
In an interview with fellow Cup Series champions Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano, the Richard Childress Racing driver was asked about NASCAR: Full Speed. “I came across amazing. I think I was the star of the show… how about you guys,” he had said at the time, making it a lighthearted moment for everyone. Even Blaney and Logano chipped in with some sarcasm of their own.
