In a recent conversation with The Athletic, Kyle Larson took a cheeky stab at Denny Hamlin. The defending champion was asked if he would ruin a victory celebration for a driver who wrecked them on the track. Larson obviously guessed who it was aimed at and did not hesitate in his answer. Surprisingly, he was not too vindictive and was uninterested in exacting his immediate revenge.

He said, “I don’t think I would. No, no. I don’t like drama and that just adds to the drama. And you end up looking kind of stupid. I feel like you would want to get them back in a racing situation. At the end of the race, Hamlin went bumper-to-bumper with the Hendrick driver. Fortunately, his crew chief was able to calm him down a bit. While the #48 driver did confess that he was at fault, he insisted that he handed the lead back to the JGR driver.

In the end, it did little to appease the #11 driver, and he called him a ‘hack’. Owing to this incident, Kyle Larson would prefer to do his talking in the next race and not ruin the moment for his opponent.
