Kyle Busch and Joey Logano’s high-octane duels on the racing track are nothing new. Indeed, who can forget the 2017 showdown in Las Vegas when they clashed, culminating in Busch throwing a punch at Logano on the pit road? Even the staunchest fans on either side wouldn’t wish to revisit the flashpoint.

In a twist of fate, it seems Joey Logano, ever the steadfast teammate to Brad Keselowski, has once again stirred the pot. He appeared to be needling Busch, attempting to throw the SRX driver off his game at the Berlin Raceway while Keselowski was still angling for an edge.

The victory lap that Kyle Busch took after outmaneuvering Brad Keselowski in the Berlin SRX race’s final laps may not be the only thing the SRX driver will remember. An equally unforgettable moment would be when Joey Logano, Busch’s fiercest adversary in NASCAR, attempted to ruffle his feathers while he was still at the wheel.

The exchange was all in good fun from Logano’s perspective, but Busch, more often than not at loggerheads with Logano, seemed to lose his cool a little bit. When Logano, stationed in the booth, connected with Busch over the radio and jovially announced, “Kyle Busch, Joey Logano up in the booth, you got me here,” Busch responded tersely, “Yeah, a little busy”

Unfazed by the frosty reception, Logano playfully offered his services as a spotter, poking fun at the ongoing cat-and-mouse game between Busch and Keselowski.

“I figured that, and I figured out I’m the person you’d love to hear right now, so I am here for you. I can help you spot you along, but what I want to know is how hard are you pushing that thing right now. Are you playing a little cat and mouse with Brad out there? How much you got left?”

Busch’s response to Logano’s antics was slightly heated. “Yeah, definitely a little cat mouse. Right now you’re just trying to modulate your gap, but you know, hearing you on my radio, that fu*king lights the fire under my ass.”

Meanwhile, Logano continued to keep Busch updated about the trailing cars, acting as a temporary spotter. Despite the tension, fans were thoroughly amused by the unexpected banter between the two.

The on-track face-offs are often the highlight of races, and this time Joey Logano certainly pulled out all the stops to needle his favorite competitor, Kyle Busch. The exchange was so comical that even Kyle’s ardent supporters couldn’t stifle their chuckles while tuning in to their radio banter. The reaction on YouTube was a testament to the humorous nature of the dialogue.

“I gotta say, Joey has grown on me unlike any driver. I hated him from ’14-’20. Started to respect him from ’21-’22, and this year, he may finally be in my top ten favorite drivers.”

“Was a great clip! I’m so glad I’m a Logano fan. He really is going to be a HOF broadcaster when he is done. I also think the rivalry between these two has chilled down a lot since Kyle’s infamous missed punch at Vegas.”

Indeed, this incident underscores the fact that dialogues between adversaries are often more captivating than those between comrades. While friends might indulge in playful ribbing for sport, rivals’ exchanges carry a fervor, or in the words of Kyle Busch, it is because of the ‘fire under their asses.’
