Now that she is no longer actively racing, Danica Patrick has a lot of time to herself. As she is relatively young, she is exploring different extra-curricular activities. The ex NASCAR driver has been sticking a finger in a number of pies. Be it her brief commentary gigs, her wine brand, or other projects, she has been a busy bee. Now, the former Stewart-Haas Racing driver has found a new passion, in the form of golf.

Recently, she posted a picture on Instagram, where she was at the Scottsdale National Golf Club. Of course, Patrick could not just drop in whenever she felt like it. This was because the Scottsdale National Golf Club was an invitation-only club, so she must have had an invitation. Danica Patrick wrote, “I decided I want to get good at golf. Today was the first time I ever practiced… and I liked it. Yes, I lined up the balls for rapid ish fire.”

How did NASCAR fans react to the new passion for Danica Patrick?

Admittedly, there were two camps when fans reacted to the pictures on social media. The first camp was excited to see Patrick take on a new challenge. In the words of one fan, “LFG DP!! Love the commitment”. Meanwhile, another fan felt that it was ‘Impressive’ to see her on the golf course. Others responded, “First time practicing?? You got it”, and “Killin it!”.

Meanwhile, the other camp were people who were offering advice for her to improve her game. One person noticed her posture and advised, “Straighten your back”. Another said, “Try not to lock your right knee on the back swing. Otherwise, very good!”. Some also acknowledged, “Looking good, when u get a chance check out Tiger Woods new venture, he has built a new golf course. Looks great from the pictures”. Finally, “Pretty good move! Little steep coming down into the ball, a little hip rotation on the way back would help solve that, but solid place to start!”
