Brandon Brown is best known for two things. Firstly, he became one of three drivers to take their maiden NASCAR win on the same weekend last year when he won his first Xfinity race. The other two were Cup Series driver Bubba Wallace and Truck Series driver Tate Fogleman. The other is when a political crowd chant was mistakenly assumed to be a chant cheering for Brown.
Now, a year later, the 29-year-old is in a tricky spot with respect to his career. He confessed, “In my position now, I’ve been removed from the 68 and told, ‘Good luck, find a ride where you can. The feeling is having everything stripped away and then having to go completely rebuild in the garage and try to find a ride anywhere and everywhere. But all of these rides have the same common denominator and that is you have to bring sponsorship.”

For a long time, Brown used to race for Brandonbilt Motorsports, which is a family-owned team. As a result, getting sponsorship was an arduous task, but they were able to make do on many occasions. So one can imagine how difficult it was for team owner Jerry Brown to leave his son without a regular ride.
Brown said, “They had to do what they had to do to save the team. It’s hard not to take it personal because it’s your family business, and [people] always say it’s really hard going into business with your family. You never want to feel kicked to the curb and thrown to whatever you can get into. It’s one of those things that it’s your biggest fear. I don’t want to be removed from what I’ve spent my entire life building. I don’t want it taken away from me. But it had to be, and that’s like experiencing your worst fear.”

The driver also confessed that last year, they tried to capitalize on the previous year, and that endeared them to the fans. However, the problem of sponsorship never went away. Interestingly, he insisted that there were things happening, that he wanted no part of. The NASCAR driver also insisted that he did not want to be some kind of poster boy. Instead, he just wanted to go racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
