Kyle Larson is a man who rarely ever keeps himself out of racing. The driver of the #5 takes part in several races apart from the ones in the Cup Series in a calendar year. And 2024 will be no different. If anything, it will perhaps be one of the most hectic years of the 31-year-old’s career so far. But there won’t be too many Late Model races.

Larson’s schedule, as per Sportsnaut, will contain the 38 Cup Series races, 20 sprint car races, the Indy 500, and 12 late model races. That’s more than 70 races in a year, which is absolutely insane. While most of his competitor’s racing action in 2024 will begin in February, Yung Money will be in action from the second week of January.

He will be taking part in the Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Park in New Mexico from January 6 to 14. The Hendrick Motorsports driver will be driving the #6 K&L Rumley Enterprises car. As a result of taking part in the multi-race event, Larson will miss the Chilli Bowl Midget Nationals for the second season running.

“I’m definitely excited for the Late Model,” Yung Money said as per Sportsnaut. “It’s been so long since I’ve run and I haven’t raced a lot this offseason. I’m excited just to get to race something and back in the Late Model at a fun track. There will definitely be less Late Model races I get to run this year just because my Sprint Car schedule is so busy.”

With five $10,000-to-win races and a $25,000-to-win Saturday night feature, it is the more lucrative option. He will be racing Late Models at Vado and that is something that the HMS star will not see a lot of in 2024. So it is no surprise that he is looking forward to it. The 31-year-old understands that winning will be a tough job at the Vado Speedway Park as he explained what sets it different from other Late Model tracks.

Kyle Larson & HMS Are Planning to Return to Indy 500 Next Year. But Should They?

Yes! It Is Great for NASCAR

No, It Was a Disaster This Time

The 31-year-old said that Vado was a great track compared to the places where other Late Model race tracks. Passing others may be difficult, but Larson believes that the track is perfect for any kind of race and not just Late Models.“It’s a great race track compared to a lot of Late Model tracks,” the HMS star said.

He further added, “Most Late Model tracks, you just run momentum through the middle and three-quarters of the track like (Jonathan Davenport) does at most tracks. It’s still tough to pass at like most Late Model tracks are but not as much as a number of them. I like it. I feel like it’s the perfect kind of race track for any kind of car. That’s why it put on some of the best racing of the year. It should be a good time and hopefully I can win one.”
