DMG Racing driver Kyle Weatherman’s mother-in-law, Barbara-Ann, who was battling breast cancer, has passed away. Weatherman was present with his entire family during these testing times and even missed one of the practice and qualifying runs for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington. Leyland Honeycutt replaced him for the practice and qualifying runs. Also, DGM Racing was supportive of their driver’s decision to stick by his family during the emergency.

However, despite the brave efforts by Barbara and the comfort of her family members, she ultimately lost the battle against cancer. Sharing the news about the loss of her dearest family member, Weatherman via his X account wrote, “Barbara Ann went to heaven last night! We will miss you SO much BUT will see you again 🙏🏻. Thank you everyone who was praying and everyone who donated 🙏🏻.”

Meg also took to her Instagram account and shared a message after the passing of her mom. “My precious muma is now with Jesus. My heart is broken but at peace. Until heaven, mama. I love you more,” she wrote via Instagram stories. The NASCAR community had also showered the family with their constant support and prayers in their difficult times, and they were saddened to learn about Barabar’s demise.

NASCAR fans send prayers and condolences to Kyle Weather and his family

The NASCAR community was active and generous when donations were set up to aid Barbara-Ann and her family. Not only will the donation amount now come in handy for the funeral, but it will also help Meg’s brother, who has a disability. However, as they learned about the tragic news, the comments section started to buzz with prayer messages and condolences. “I’m so sorry my sincerest thoughts and prayers for you and your family 🙏🙏🙏🙏 may she rest in peace and may God give you all comfort and peace,” A user wrote.

Meanwhile, others extended their support to the Weatherman family with their messages, “Really sorry for your loss Kyle”. “Oh my gosh I am so sorry for your loss. We will be praying. 🙏”. Kyle Weatherman is running in his first full-time NASCAR Xfinity season since 2020. And despite missing the qualifying rounds at his last race at Darlington, he finished P17. Weatherman did have a sticker named “Barbara Brooks” on the back of his race car for the race, and it feels like the sticker will now find a permanent feature on the No. 91 car for the rest of the season.
