Kyle Busch’s current season has been a bit of a turmoil. Having faced a race disqualification after coming in at P2 and with his stagnated contract talks, Busch just doesn’t seem to catch a break.
However, recently Kyle Petty spoke about Kyle Busch and suggested it would be better if he could wrap up his talks as soon as possible, considering the looming threat of Ty Gibbs.
Petty mentions that Ty should be given a place at JGR next year, then he quickly interjects himself and says, “so you’re kicking the high school boy’s b*tt in the Xfinity Series.”
“I’m proud of you son, you are doing good, but if you wanna be in high school for the rest of your life stay over there. If you wanna learn Cup come here.”
He then mentions Kyle Busch and says, “I think if I’m Kyle, and I’m looking at it and I’m 36 or 37, hmmm, a lot more blue sky over there than it is with me. My blue sky, my sun’s going down.”
“Not that I’m saying that Kyle Busch should retire, at 37, but I’m on the back 8 or 10 years of my career, while he’s on the front 25 years of his career.”

He goes on to mention that if Kyle Busch wishes to stay in the game, he needs to take the deal.
A potential seat might open up for Kyle Busch in another team
Amid the current contract struggles between Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs racing, there might be an alternative team that could house Busch for next year.
Kaulig Racing is a Cup Series team that might be open to taking up Busch for next year. Though it’s not a top-level Team and Busch might have to adjust, but if the deal happens, it’ll be great both ways.

Kaulig Racing shouldn’t be underestimated either. Last year, A. J. Allmendinger won the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway while racing for them.
