Kyle Petty on the podcast shared a moment that happened after the race at Kansas last weekend. He said, “So I text your(Bubba Wallace) mom when the race was a win and I think her finger got hung over the trophy emoji. I wasn’t sure because I got like six thousand of them.”
He then asked Wallace, “How excited was she when you finally talked to her?”
To this 23XI driver replied, “Yeah! She was pumped. I called her after leaving the racetrack and she was super pumped for us and the team. And just happy and proud. Gotta talk to her and talked to my dad too. That was really cool.”
“But you know it’s family sport no matter what you go through, the trials and tribulations of life. Family is always the most important thing. Great to have Amanda there as well, got her first win in person, but yeah, mom was pumped,” the #45 driver added in the end.
