Of all the takes there were on Bubba Wallace intentionally wrecking Kyle Larson in Vegas and subsequently being penalized for it with a one-race suspension, arguably none was harsher than that of Kyle Petty.
The former NASCAR driver demanded that Wallace be parked for the rest of the season because of what he did to his fellow driver.

Now, a week from Vegas, in Miami, Larson had, well, a bit of an incident himself. The Hendrick Motorsports driver bumped Martin Truex Jr. on the pit road, spinning him around.
This was something on which a lot of fans pounced on, in the sense that they now demanded ‘fairness’, and Larson be penalized just like Wallace was.
And yes, one fan did make this point to Petty as well.
“I Want All Those #NASCAR #Fans & Pundits Especially @kylepetty To Call For @KyleLarsonRacin To Be #Suspended For The Remainder Of The Season & All The 🌬Like He/They Had For @BubbaWallace & Yes #KyleLarson Took @MartinTruex_Jr Out & Could’ve #KILLED A #19 Pit Crew Member😤,” a tweet read.
Funnily enough, the former NASCAR driver, instead of resorting to explanations, decided to take the road less taken, the one paved with humor – “I’m sorry you’ve never had Christmas at you home… that makes me sad that you’ve never seen apples and oranges! 🤣🤣🤣.”

Kyle Petty feels Bubba Wallace deserved much more than a single-race suspension
Speaking about his one-race suspension penalty, Kyle Petty didn’t hold back one bit about what Bubba Wallace should’ve got instead.
“He should have been suspended for the rest of the year. Rest of the year,” Petty said. “He turns a guy in the right rear into the outside wall intentionally. Steering brake?”
“That’s laughable.”

Petty even went on to say that intentionally wrecking someone in itself is a suspension.

And when you consider what Wallace did after that, which was walking across the racetrack, which naturally isn’t safe, then shoving a fellow driver calls for “another suspension.”
