After the 2024 season, Kyle Larson has been itching to get a win. While he couldn’t get it done in the Regular Series or the Cup Series, he wanted to get 2025 started on the right foot. And that’s exactly why he returned to his old stomping ground, the Chili Bowl Nationals! And he has done it again. Yung Money has once again etched his name in the history books with his 3rd Chili Bowl championship. Larson, with this win, has now caught up to the titan of Chili Bowl – Christopher Bell, which has further solidified his legacy as one of the greatest to ever come out of the world of motorsports.

To see one of their favorite drivers win once more has turned fans elated, as they took to social media to share their feelings.

Larson’s continuous purple patch since the win at Perth had put him in a good contender’s position. But becoming the winner of this year’s Chili Bowl would not be a cakewalk. Starting on the pole everyone had thought this would be an easy win but it was anything but a dud. One thing that helped him put on a good show was some luck before the race started. With Larson performing poorly during the Race of Champions, he knew his only shot at a win could come with a solid pole draw.

That’s exactly what happened. Because he drew the No. 1 pill, he could manage a front-row start, beating out Landon Brooks for the pole position. However, that was just half the battle. During the 40-lap race, Larson was involved in multiple incidents, first coming on lap 17. Despite Larson cruising in the front in the opening laps of the race, Jacob Denney and Brenham Crouch made contact in front of him, with Larson, having no choice but to drive over 2 wheels. His car nearly stalled, but miraculously fired back to life.

Later in the race, with just four laps remaining, Larson’s car climbed up the wall, with the rear of the car on the wall while the nose pointing infield. Somehow, Larson managed to get the car back on track, pointing in the right direction and cruising to the win.

Speaking about the win, he said, “Tonight, the track was challenging to make a lap by yourself, so when you can win a 40-lap race on a track that challenging, it’s pretty cool.” After the hard-fought victory, he quickly took to X, posting, “3x golden drillers!
