Even though Spiderman is a fictional character, it is a global icon that has transcended time and borders. Spiderman existed for decades as a comic book character, but it was only when the character was brought on the movie screens in 2002 by Sam Raimi that it truly entered the mainstream. And in 2021, the new Spiderman movie is out. But one wonders, which is the favorite version of Spiderman for NASCAR drivers? For most, it’s one, but for Kyle Larson, it’s another.

In a video posted by NASCAR on FOX, drivers were asked some questions about their love affair with Spiderman.

While drivers like William Byron, Josh Bilicki, Ryan Blaney and Anthony Alfredo chose Tobey Maguire as the original Peter Parker, the current NASCAR champ Kyle Larson picked the latest version of the iconic character.

The Hendrick driver said he has seen most of the movies, and now that he has kids, he really enjoys Spiderman. He picked British actor Tom Holland as his favorite Spiderman. “Tom Holland, I think, he is young…just makes it feel younger, like more attractive to kids. So, I really enjoy the new Spiderman,” Larson said.

He also added how big of a fan his daughter is.

“She is a massive Spiderman fan, Spiderman pyjamas to bed every night..will not go to sleep without her Spiderman pyjamas on.”

Was Kyle Larson present at the Spiderman premiere?

The much-anticipated movie had its premiere in Los Angeles last night.

Yet Larson and his family couldn’t make it to watch their favorite Tom Holland in the new ‘No Way Home’ movie. This is because Larson is currently in the UAE after he attended the F1 race in Abu Dhabi.

But Ryan Blaney attended the premiere. He is on Team Maguire, and said, “Tom Holland does a good job, but Tobey Maguire will always be the OG Spiderman.”

Blaney must’ve missed Tobey Maguire as the Spiderman in the new movie. Or did he?
