Last week Kyle Larson dazzled us with a spectacular finish at the Pennzoil 400 race. He defended his Vegas win from last year, but Tyler Reddick was close behind his heels. The 23XI racer did not let the Hendrick driver rest, battling for a lead all the way to the end. But Larson prevailed in the end, his son rushing to the track to celebrate the victory with him.

Securing his first win of the season, Kyle is presently spending some much-needed family time. The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion whispered hints of his snazzy new home in the Netflix show NASCAR: Full Speed. He was sporting a Whisper Rock Golf Club hat, with Arizona front and center.

Larson may be a reserved and calm personality on the track. But when it comes to his family, he does not shy away from expressing bursting enthusiasm. While preparing for the Shriner’s Children 500 race this Sunday, he is enjoying two weeks of desert holiday in his $5.6 Million, 6,500 square-foot home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Larson admits the place is an improvement to his previous residence. “It’s relaxing and just a nice change of pace,” Larson told The Arizona Republic. “I don’t think about North Carolina at all when I’m out here.”

Kyle and Katelyn are parents to three lovely children: Owen, Audrey, and Cooper. Originally hailing from North Carolina, the power couple have many family and friends who still reside on the West Coast. These people are easily accessible from Larson’s Arizona home with sub-two-hour flights or a quick road trip.

Kyle Larson emphasized the factors that are crucial for him: family time and convenience. “Even like with the NASCAR stuff, I can call in to all the (meetings). Where when I’m in North Carolina, I obviously go and it just takes up way more time. It’s less time for quality time I get to spend with my family. I’m way more engaged with the family when I’m in Arizona.”

Larson also drew parallels with the amazing facilities available within arm’s reach in Arizona. “Great restaurants, shopping, golf, hiking, all of that stuff.” His daily workout schedule also benefitted. “The gym that I work out in is 10 minutes from my house. When I’m in North Carolina, I have to drive 35 minutes to the gym, there and back.”

After Kyle Larson snagged the Pennzoil win, his son Owen rushed to share in the glory. But NASCAR fans had a few qualms about this.

Soon after Kyle Larson claimed the checkered flag as his own in Las Vegas, his son came to the scene. Owen climbed atop the No. 5 Chevrolet car, rejoicing in his father’s new-found glory. Some people voiced concern, saying that if the car gets damaged it might not pass the post-race inspection process.

However, Vice President of Competition Elton Sawyer set aside any need for worry. “If you look at our sport, it’s a family sport, and to see Kyle win the race and Owen come running across the infield there, I just thought that was a great moment.”
