Earlier, the Carolina Midget Showdown concluded with Kyle Larson winning the event. Additionally, Chase Elliott was making his Midget Showdown debut. There were also other competitors like Alex Bowman and Chase Briscoe to watch out for, as well as the other drivers.
There were two main events and Larson grabbed pole position in the second event. Joining him on the front row was Cannon McIntosh, while the rest of the pack lined up, as per passing points from the heat races. When the first event kicked off, McIntosh got the better start and snatched the inside lane.

Unfortunately, he went a touch too deep and slid through turn one and tagged the wall. Then, disaster struck Larson as he ran into the stricken car and landed upside down. Meanwhile, Nick Drake and Chase Elliott were innocent victims, as the wreck blocked the entire outside lane.
In the end, Chase Briscoe won the first event from Larson after his car got repaired. Meanwhile, Chase Elliott made it an all-NASCAR podium.

For race 2, the organizers reversed the field, placing Carson Kvapil and Ryan Timms on the front row. However, there was a complication, and CJ Leary grabbed pole position instead. After plenty of bumping and barging, Kyle Larson fought his way up the order to take the lead.
With six laps to go, Larson led after the caution from Briscoe and McIntosh. Finally, everything culminated in Larson winning from McIntosh, Briscoe, Elliott, and Leary. All in all, it was a tremendously exciting race and there was plenty of action, up and down the order.

Larson, Briscoe, and Elliott will be glad to have competed in this race. Since NASCAR will be incorporating a dirt track for the 2021 Cup Series season. In other words, this will be good practice for them when the Bristol dirt race rolls by.
