In a few days, the NASCAR Cup Series won’t be the only motorsports competition to commence. Sprint car racing has been a fan favorite for years and the High Limit Racing Series will also begin after the Daytona 500 weekend. The series owner and Cup Series racer Kyle Larson recently stated the reasons why fans should be excited for the new season and it has to do with the drivers taking part in the competition.

Larson himself will be taking part in a lot of the races in the competition that he won last year. The High Limit Racing series grew in popularity by quite a lot in 2023 thanks to the competitive high-intensity racing action. The sky is the limit for Larson and co who will hope to give stiff competition to the World of Outlaws in the future.

It won’t be an easy job but the former Cup Series champion has faith in his driver lineup and with good reason. There are several names to look out for as per the Hendrick Motorsports star. Drivers like 5-time World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet, Rico Abreu, and Corey Day were some of the names mentioned by the 31-year-old.

“I think what excites me and what should excite fans is that we have a really great variety of drivers. We got the reigning 5-time World of Outlaws champion as well as down to rising up-and-coming drivers with a lot of, not pressure, whatever…like a Corey Day. Somebody the fans are really excited to see how he develops as a sprint car racer and all that and then everybody in between,” Larson said in an interview with FloRacing.

“Lots of drivers with experience, drivers who used to be on tours, had gone off and won lots of big races and kind of established themselves as the top 3 to 5 guys in the country,” the 2021 Cup Series champion added.

Apart from Sweet, Abreu, and Day, the 31-year-old said that Brent Marks, Tyler Courtney, Zeb Wise, and James McFadden were some of the drivers to look out for. The new season of High Limit Racing may truly turn out to be a jaw-dropping competition. Meanwhile, another reason why Larson believes it will be a success is the schedule.
