Picking up where he left off as the reigning midweek series champion, Larson took control of his #57 sprint car, directed by crew chief Paul Silva, owner of Silva Motorsport. “Young Money” led all 25 laps from the pole position, with a commanding performance even earning himself a well-deserved $10,000.

High Limit Racing Kicks off the Season With a Dominant Victory

The battle for supremacy saw Cole Macedo secure the runner-up position, finishing 2.827 seconds behind Larson. The final lap witnessed an intense showdown as Macedo strategically maneuvered past Tanner Thorson to claim his spot on the podium. Thorson, displaying remarkable tenacity, finished third after challenging Kyle Larson multiple times in the closing laps. The thrilling race unfolded with Thorson pulling alongside Larson twice with six laps remaining and once through turns one and two with five laps left.

The season-opening feature titled “Battle at the Bay,” originally scheduled for Monday, faced delays due to rain showers. However, the perseverance of the racers and the event organizers ensured that the remaining races, including the consolation races and the 25-lap feature, took place seamlessly from Tuesday morning onward.
