The comeback is complete for Kyle Larson in the NASCAR Cup Series. On Sunday evening, Larson put in one of his most dominant performances to win the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, clinching his maiden NASCAR win in the Hendrick Motorsports car.
The new No. 5 car driver was always a major contender on the 1.5-mile tracks, and he showed exactly why he is good there. Larson was among the leaders from the opening lap itself, as pole-sitter Kevin Harvick fell behind right away.
Larson, driving in his first Cup race in the ‘Hendrickcars.com’ No. 5 car, was ecstatic at the performance of the Hendrick car. Drivers are always expected to do well in a Hendrick car, but when you add his talent to the frame, such impressive runs become a quite a common occurrence.

“It was so much fun to drive, I could go wherever I wanted to. I knew we had a very good car once we kind of get single-filed out,” he added.
