Recently, NASCAR hosted a small show called Backseat Drivers, but added a twist. Apparently, some of the NASCAR drivers’ children featured as the host and guests.

Denny Hamlin’s oldest daughter Taylor, played host, while Aric Almirola’s son Alex was also featured. Also joining them was Owen Larson, son of Kyle Larson.

Admittedly, the kids had a lot of fun goofing around on the set. They had to re-shoot a few times because one or all of them broke character.

Once they all managed to control themselves, Taylor asked Alex and Owen about their favorite drivers. Alex Almirola mentioned his namesake Alex Bowman, and his father Aric.

However, Owen’s response came as a surprise to many. He bashfully replied, “Brad.” Somehow, his father was not offended but joked that he hoped Owen meant Brad Sweet and not Brad Keselowski. Admittedly, Keselowski also got in on the act and mused that the kids had ‘great taste’.

In the very next question, the children talked about their favorite paint schemes. Over here, Owen Larson displayed familial loyalty when he said that he liked the red, white, and blue paint job of Kyle’s car. Owen also confessed that he never really got a chance to visit Victory Lane in NASCAR, but did so in Sprint Car races.

Unfortunately, both Owen and Alex backed Chase Elliott to win the title. Their reasoning was that he had won last year, and he won at the season finale at Phoenix Raceway. All joking aside, the drivers still have four races left in the regular season and Denny Hamlin is somehow clinging to the lead.

Meanwhile, he has Larson, Keselowski, Kyle Busch, William Byron, Joey Logano and more, chasing him. Anything can happen in the next few races and the Playoffs will be hotly contested.
