Kyle Larson is on cloud 9 after seizing his maiden NASCAR Cup Series title. It is also worth mentioning that despite actively competing for the NASCAR title, he still found time for other events. In particular, Larson competed in several dirt events and he believes that has helped him improve as a driver.

“Getting all that experience, I think helps. I think the dirt stuff really helps get my restarts and stuff a lot better in Cup. The races are so short that you have to be attacking all the time. On the flip side, I think that the NASCAR stuff helps the patient side of things and staying calm.” He said,

Kyle Larson will be aiming to defend his crown in 2022

Of course, the Hendrick Motorsports driver will be looking forward to the next chapter of his career. NASCAR history proves that if winning the maiden title was tough, defending next season will be a lot harder. His teammate Chase Elliott failed to do it after winning in 2020, so the pressure will be on Larson.

Additionally, Larson will have to keep a wary eye on his other teammates, Alex Bowman and William Byron. Furthermore, teams like Joe Gibbs Racing, Team Penske, and Stewart-Haas Racing, are no slouches. However, it is worth mentioning that the Next Gen cars could be a massive game-changer.

Kyle Larson will undoubtedly be working hard to figure out what makes the cars quicker than anyone else. If he does, he will have the advantage over his rivals. Though we can also be sure that they will also be doing the same thing.
