Kyle Larson had a great run at Homestead Miami. He dominated pretty much the entire race, winning both stage one and then taking the race win. But the pit-road incident involving Martin Truex Jr., who was putting pressure on Larson for a good chunk of the race, might have tainted his dominating win.

But does the Joe Gibbs Racing driver want NASCAR to take action?

The #5 and #19 car seemed to be running on a similar strategy, as both of them went in the pitlane at the same time. Although for a moment it seemed like Truex Jr. might contest for the win, making his way from 12th, all the way up to the top of the pack. All hope died soon when Larson hit him in the rear just before entering his pit box, making him spin around and almost hurt some of his crew members.

The 2017 Cup Series Champion believes he was partly at fault too, “I turned late and I knew I had to tap the brakes as soon as I turned and he just never lifted. So, I’m not blaming it on him I can’t blame it on him. It was half my fault too,”. But of course, like he mentioned, Larson didn’t lift despite knowing the #19 has to enter the pit box.

So, does he want NASCAR to take action against the 2021 Cup Series Champion?  He replied to that question by saying, “Nah. not at all.”

But we have to take Larson’s comment into account too.

After the race got over, Larson celebrated his big win in typical NASCAR fashion as he left some donut-shaped rubber on the track. And has he got out of the car with the chequered flag, the reporter came asking questions and brought up the incident with the #19 car.

He said, “If it was my fault, I’m sorry, I don’t think it was. It’s hard to see on this pit road, I don’t know if fans, the people realize when you’ve got debris all over your windshield, the sun shining right in your face, it’s hard to see your stall.”
