Not many drivers today have as much talent and as diverse of a knowledge pool when it comes to racing as Kyle Larson does. The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion is one of those drivers who, when you look at, you just know they were born to race.

That racing is the first thing in the morning and the last at night, something which Larson’s incredible schedule clearly reflects.

So it’s only natural that in a recent interview, Larson was asked what his answer would be if NASCAR came to him for suggestions on the season schedule. And it’s only fair that someone like him should be consulted to give his opinion on what tracks and what kind of tracks should NASCAR race on in the future.

After all, he has experience beyond stock cars and NASCAR aims to take stock cars beyond the asphalt. It makes perfect sense.

However, the Hendrick driver doesn’t think so. Larson believes it doesn’t really matter what he has to say on this subject. But if he did have a chance to do so, he’d pluck out one surprising branch attached to NASCAR through grafting.

“I’m cool with street course and stuff like that. I think everybody would assume my opinion would be, ‘Oh let’s race dirt every weekend,'” he said. “(But) I don’t think Cup cars should be on dirt.”

“That’s the only change I would really make. Just not race on dirt.”

Kyle Larson had earlier asked NASCAR to fix one thing ahead of Bristol Cup race

In the lead up to the Bristol dirt race, Kyle Larson openly expressed the one complaint he has with NASCAR.

We just shouldn’t race on dirt if we’re not going to take the windshields out and actually have a dirt race. With moisture in the track and being able to produce a real dirt race,” he said.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver said going ahead with the windshield is “just wasting everybody’s time a little bit,” something which he feels neither the fans nor the competitors deserve.

“I feel like it’s just kind of lame,” Larson added.
