The NASCAR Cup Series action now moves to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the upcoming weekend. One driver who will be counting on his past record to achieve some success there will be Kyle Larson.

The Hendrick Motorsports No.5 has had a few chances to get his first win in 2021. It only then seems like a matter of time before Larson can keep his composure to deliver a race victory for his new team.

Larson’s team has added one more step in preparation for this Sunday’s race, and that is to have a new paint scheme. Safe to say, his Chevrolet Camaro looks quite appealing and he will be raring to go at the earliest.

Kyle Larson previously had Nations Guard colors for the first three races in 2021

The red, blue, and white-themed No.5 car, sponsored by HendrickCars.com, will operate as Larson’s machinery for this weekend. Per the team’s website, this paint scheme pays homage to team owner Rick Hendrick’s son, Ricky Hendrick, who drove a similar scheme during his racing days.

Larson previously raced with a black-and-green-themed Nations Guard car in the first three races of the 2021 season. But following the duration of the sponsorship, this new version could become the 28-year-old’s primary scheme for the remainder of the campaign.

Larson has gained some familiarity and will look to clinch his first win

Speaking to the team’s website, he stated, “I feel like we’ve done a good job and I’m really just trying to learn everybody. And I think as we get more races into the year, I’ll be able to offer a little bit more. But I’ve been comfortable with everything.”

Larson needs no introduction to Las Vegas, a location he has previously had some success at. He has achieved Top-10 finishes in 4 of the last 5 races that he has driven there. Not to mention his brilliant victory in the Xfinity Series driving for Chip Ganassi Racing in the 2018 season.

Therefore, Larson will certainly keep his fingers crossed, as he begins the race in third this time around. Could a change in his paint scheme land him a first race victory for Hendrick Motorsports? Only time will tell.
