Hendrick Motorsports’ latest recruit Kyle Larson has finally revealed the first paint scheme of his new car. Both the team and the driver put out official statements across social media platforms to convey the news.
The shiny-looking green-and-black color scheme on his No.5 Chevrolet will be sponsored courtesy of NationsGuard, whose own logo sports similar shades. It also marks the Larson’s team’s first sponsor for the upcoming 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.
A statement on the team website read, “Kyle Larson, who will make his Hendrick Motorsports debut in the Feb. 14 DAYTONA 500, now has his first paint scheme of 2021 for the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE team.”

As mentioned, Larson’s newly crafted car would originally appear at the Cup Series opener come February 14. Following that, the same paint scheme will be visible in the consequent top division races at the Daytona Road Course as well as the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The statement continued, “The green and black colors of NationsGuard will adorn the No. 5 Chevrolet for the 63rd running of “The Great American Race,” including the Feb. 11 Duel qualifiers. It will also be featured on the car Feb. 21 at the DAYTONA Road Course and Feb. 28 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.”
