The caution flag came up at the FireKeepers Casino 400 as there was a massive crash during the race. Kyle Larson spun out during the first lap after the restart, causing him to take several cars along with him. The Hendrick Motorsports driver ended up retiring from the race after ending up in the grass. Unfortunately, after massive delays, the race finally went underway, and after waiting for a whole day to get back on the tracks, the crash affected 6 drivers.
Along with Kyle Larson, the other drivers to be affected by the wrecks are Chris Buescher, Bubba Wallace, Christopher Bell, Chase Briscoe, and Todd Gilliland. The incident on turn four puts many drivers in positions that they would not want to be in, especially the ones who are yet fighting for a spot in the playoffs, like Wallace and Buescher. Jeff Gluck put up a post on X describing what happened as soon as the incident took place.
Fans were obviously unhappy to see the drivers they support get wrecked during the third-last race before the playoffs. All the more because of the delays that have dropped the population of the circuit by a lot. After such a hectic weekend, fans could not contain their emotions as they started to crowd into Jeff Gluck’s X post to share their thoughts on Larson’s wreck. It’s safe to say that fans are not happy.
