Normally in sports like NFL, MLB and NBA, there is a draft where teams recruit various players. Recently, Fox NASCAR tweeted that in a hypothetical situation, if they had a NASCAR draft, who would be the No. 1 draft? Naturally, many fans flocked in to choose their favorite or the best drivers. Apparently, one of the most popular picks was defending Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson.

Some other names were thrown in, like Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, and others. However, the general consensus was that the fans preferred the younger generation of Cup drivers. So, names like Larson, Chase Elliott and a few others cropped up. They all know that the #5 Hendrick Motorsports driver is extremely talented, so he is the obvious pick.

Aside from Larson and Elliott, people named several other young and talented Cup Series drivers. This included the likes of Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Chase Briscoe, Austin Cindric, and Tyler Reddick. Even Ross Chastain and Noah Gragson earned a special shout out.

Kyle Larson will be determined to retain his Cup Series crown

So far this campaign, Hendrick Motorsports have been pretty strong. In fact, Kyle Larson, William Byron and Alex Bowman have all got wins, while Chase Elliott leads the standings. To make matters even better, Byron has two wins under his belt, and he is one of two drivers to achieve it.

This is undoubtedly proof that even in a new era for NASCAR, Hendrick Motorsports is the team to beat. Obviously, the likes of Joe Gibbs Racing, Team Penske and other teams will be eager to catch them. However, NASCAR races are unpredictable and no one knows whether we will get a new person in Victory Lane. Or whether one of the previous winners will add to their tally.

However, the big question is, which of the quartet will be the strongest? Will it be defending champion Kyle Larson? Will Alex Bowman add a second win? Or will William Byron take a third win? Finally, will Chase Elliott join his teammates in the winners list?
