With the final race of the season just knocking at the door, all four drivers in the Championship 4 are anticipating a championship title. And why not? Nothing is worse than making it into the final four and then not winning the main event. However, for Hendrick Motorsports icon Kyle Larson, that is not the case.

In an arena where frequent on-track brawls are very common, Kyle Larson is perhaps one of the coolest guys out there. And on the Championship 4 media day, FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass found Kyle Larson quite laid-back but at the same time extremely focused. But why is that?

A wise man once said that slow and steady wins the race. Kyle Larson is not slow, for sure. But he is indeed steady and composed. The way he rebounded from his mistake of ramming into the outside fence at Las Vegas and won clearly spits out the fact that Kyle Larson is not one of those people who cripple under pressure. On the contrary, he thrives under it.

Larson realized the nuance of unpredictability in the sport of NASCAR. He has been driving for almost a decade, and those fruitful years have taught him to be realistic about his expectations. According to The Charlotte Observer, Kyle Larson felt like all four of the drivers had an equal shot at the title. He said, “You know, I came into the Championship 4 a couple of years ago, no experience in the Round of 4, and really have only been in the Round of 8 one other time before then.”

“It does not make a difference. If your team executes right, any of us can win,” he added. Perhaps that is the reason why he told Bob Pockrass why he wasn’t feeling pressured at all. The #5 HMS star explained that Monday was alright, Tuesday was Halloween, and Wednesday morning he flew to Phoenix. Hence, he didn’t really have the time to feel the heat. “I don’t remember feeling overly anticipated the last time I was in the final 4, I feel pretty calm, neutral,” he said.

“This week is really short. Monday it was normal, Tuesday we had Halloween, flew out here early yesterday morning, so no, not antsy at all,” said Larson, “There’s weeks that I go throughout the year that I don’t race so…nothing out of the ordinary.”

Perhaps Larson is still in the Halloween mood. Interestingly, his Halloween was different this year. And it seems like a certain Halloween costume won his heart, so much so that he declared it the winner.

During Halloween week, people prefer to chill out with friends drinking pumpkin-spiced drinks, and children dress up as zombies or witches, going from one door to another, asking, “Trick or treat?” However, when almost everyone dressed as ghosts or monsters, a little Kyle Larson fan chose to be different.

He transformed into Kyle Larson’s #5 Valvoline Chevy. Indeed, that was his costume. It was almost like Optimus Prime came across a NASCAR stock car and immediately fell in love with it. So he decided to transform into one. Kyle Larson was so impressed with this kid’s costume that he retweeted, “Love it! You win Halloween!”

Even the fans didn’t ignore how impressive the costume was. Nevertheless, they were quick to turn the trajectory of the conversation to wishing Larson the very best for the Grand Finale in Phoenix this coming weekend.

Someone said, “Now it’s your turn to win the championship. 🏆”

A Kyle Larson fan commented, “Win all the way I wish I could of found that for tonight!!!! Super cool. However, I’ll take
TWO👈🏁. Happy Halloween and let’s get some Brother. Houseful pullin’ for Ya here”

“Now get another championship and put images of both on the hood of that transformer,” joked another.
