With the Great American Race approaching closer, the NASCAR verse is busy with race predictions. And now it seems that Dirty Mo Media podcasters Dale Earnhardt Jr and Denny Hamlin have caught this prediction fever.
In the latest episode of the Dale Jr Download, Earnhardt Jr shared the winning odds of various drivers. He revealed that the odds for Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, and Ryan Blaney were around 12–1, while those for Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, and Kyle Busch were 14–1.
However, Earnhardt Jr was not happy with any of it, especially with the odds for Kyle Larson. Explaining what exactly troubled him, Earnhardt said,

“I think Joey belongs in that first group (12–1). Larson does not belong on this page! Like he doesn’t like plate racing.”

Agreeing with Earnhardt’s explanation, the show’s co-host Mike Davis laughed and said that Larson never fakes it and he just simply does not like plate racing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr on why he does not feel great about Kyle Larson’s chances
Although Kyle Larson has proved himself to be a skilled NASCAR driver over the years, but his record at Daytona isn’t great. And who else than the pied piper of Daytona can analyze Larson’s chances of winning there?
Explaining why exactly he does not feel good about Larson’s winning chances, Dale Earnhardt Jr continued,
“He claims to be not enthused about it. Doesn’t really understand it. Which I think taints his opinion of the Daytona 500 in general as the Great American Race or the biggest race of the year.
“Now if he were to win it. He would absolutely be thrilled and more than happy to celebrate that. But you know with his lack of confidence or love or passion for that style of racing, I don’t feel great about his chances.”

The winning odds for other drivers
Apart from Larson, Dale Earnhardt Jr discussed his views on Ross Chastain and Kyle Busch’s Daytona 500 performance. While talking about why he feels Busch’s chances of winning the race aren’t that high, Earnhardt Jr stated, “Kyle Busch I think is a good plate racer. But he’s had tough luck.”
However, according to him, that is not the case with Ross Chastain. During the conversation, he admitted that he does see Ross Chastain winning the race, though the odds for both William Byron and Chastain are 16–1.

Seeing this as the perfect opportunity for a little banter, Davis went on to discuss Chastain’s habit of running into Denny Hamlin.
Mike Davis: And if he does, he’ll definitely wreck Denny on the way up to the front.
Dale Earnhardt Jr: I don’t think so!
Mike Davis: Please! (Laughs) They are a magnet.
