Can Kyle Busch turn his Roval luck into a win, or is it just wishful thinking?

Kyle Busch’s wife Samantha seems to have a lot on her plate this weekend. Not only Busch, but their 9-year-old son was racing this weekend. Samantha has been a strong pillar of support for her son in his racing adventures and is by his side on the tracks. However, this weekend was a pretty hectic one, and she wasn’t able to be with Brexton at the Tulsa Speedway.

She is expected to appear at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend alongside Rowdy. So she headed home to rest up and prepare for the big event on Sunday. But she just couldn’t sleep knowing the Brexton would be racing shortly and tuned into watching his race.

Samantha Busch has a massive fan following online on social media. On Instagram alone, she had close to 250K followers. And she does a very good job of keeping her followers in the loop about her daily adventures. Similarly, she has documented the rise of Brexton with regular updates on his racing adventures.

Although she missed Brexton’s recent race due to a lack of rest and hectic scheduling, she managed to make amends by staying up late to watch her son race. “I’m so tired, got about three hours of sleep last night and maybe an hour on the flight home powered through. And in my head, I don’t know why I got to be like nine o’clock, like there’s no way I can go to bed before Brexton races. So it is going to be a long day tomorrow.”

Brexton’s dad, Kyle Busch, hit the bed early to be in his best shape for Sunday’s race, but Samantha couldn’t miss the race. “Kyle went to bed hours ago, mama’s you get me, I can’t go to bed if he’s going to race. I can’t do that, so if you see me tomorrow, bear with me. Especially the autograph session is going to be a lot of caffeine.” Samantha Busch said this via the Instagram stories.

The 2-time Cup Series champ has had a hard time trying to adapt to the changes in the Next Gen car. He only has four wins to his name since 2022 and has struggled to find a consistent pace at a particular race track. However, Roval stands as an exception to this case, and this Sunday’s race just might prove to be his saving grace and a bright spot in what has been a dull 2024 outing.

In the last two starts at the Roval in the Next Gen era, Busch has finished with back-to-back P3 finishes. He does have a similar record on tracks like Talladega and Las Vegas, but a road course venue is indeed a big surprise. While the #8 RCR team has missed the playoff, they still have some unfinished business to help Rowdy continue his record.
