The Busch name is synonymous with speed. From Kurt Busch’s 2004 Cup Series championship to Kyle Busch’s dominance across all three NASCAR national series, the family has built a lasting legacy in motorsports. Now, the next generation is making its mark as Brexton Busch, Kyle’s 9-year-old son. Last year, he won the Golden Driller at the Tulsa Shootout’s Junior A-mains event. And, with each passing year, B-rex has been steadily climbing the ranks in youth racing, proving that talent runs deep in the Busch bloodline.

From dirt tracks to late model cars, the young racer is already turning heads. But no one beams with pride more than his mother, Samantha Busch. Recently, during a practice session at Caraway Speedway, Samantha was left completely awestruck by what she witnessed—so much so that she couldn’t help but share her reaction with the world.

Samantha Busch is impressed with Brexton Busch’s on-track performance

Brexton’s journey in racing is gaining traction, and his skills are beginning to turn heads. At just nine, Brexton is making waves on the track, particularly at Caraway Speedway, where he recently competed in a practice session for the NASCAR Regionals.

His impressive handling of the car left many, including his mom Samantha, in awe. “I’m a mix of completely proud and jaw dropped that at 9 he does this,” Samantha wrote in an Instagram story, with a mix of excitement and nervousness. It’s clear that her pride in Brexton’s abilities is matched only by her motherly concerns. To add a touch of humor, she further added, “on the other hand I’m like 😱💩🙈”

Brexton’s career is already off to an amazing start. His victory at the Tulsa Shootout earned him a Junior Sprint Golden Driller, one of the biggest honors for young drivers. The achievement further solidifies Brexton’s potential to follow in his father’s and uncle Kurt’s footsteps. Brexton had started his career in 2020 at the tender age of five. Since then, he has been racking up impressive victories and championships.

Just a month into his racing journey, he secured his first-ever victory at Mountain Creek Speedway. He continued to make strides, clinching the Saturday Millbridge Beginner Box championship in 2022. This was followed by the Mountain Creek Beginner Box championship in the same year. In 2023, he added the Tuesday Night Beginner Box Millbridge championship to his ever-growing list of accomplishments. These achievements prove that his rise in the racing world is both swift and well-earned.

But while his racing achievements speak for themselves, the real question remains. Will we see a “Battle of the Buschs” in 2025? Kyle, never one to shy away from a little friendly competition, teased the idea with a playful tweet. “Brex and l will be going head to head before ya know it.” he wrote, hinting at the possibility of a father-son showdown.

It seems that the friendly rivalry may not stop with just Kyle. Uncle Kurt Busch, always up for a challenge, chimed in with a tweet of his own. He responded, “I’m on my way” to Battle of Busch tweets. With both Kyle and Kurt openly teasing the possibility of a family face-off on the track, the racing world can’t help but wonder if 2025 could be the year the Buschs make history with a race for the ages.

Could the Busch family rivalry redefine NASCAR history with a father-son showdown in 2025?

Have an interesting take?

Will Lennix Busch also carry the Busch legacy forward?

Kyle and Samantha Busch’s two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Lennix, too, seems to have inherited the family’s racing genes like Brexton. While her older brother Brexton is already making waves on the racetrack, Lennix has shown early signs of following in their tire tracks. Often seen at the racetrack, cheering on her brother and father, she’s already becoming a familiar face around the family’s racing activities.

Samantha Busch often shares playful glimpses of Lennix’s budding interest in racing. One post caught the attention of fans, featuring Lennix behind the wheel of her toy car, captioned: “This girl is all gas, no brakes 😂.” It’s clear that the Busch family’s racing spirit runs strong in the youngest member, as she confidently embraces her racing identity, even if it’s for now just in the form of play.

Another memorable post from Samantha Busch showed Lennix taking her first laps around Millbridge Speedway. Her small feet navigating a kart as she circled the track. “Lenni’s first laps at Millbridge. Looks like we might have another racer in the family!” Samantha captioned the adorable moment. While the cart was moving slowly and safely, it marked the beginning of what could one day be another Busch legacy in the making.

It’s exciting to think that in a few years, the track could see another Busch name in the race lineup. Whether Lennix follows Brexton’s path or creates her own unique legacy, fans are already speculating about what the future holds for the youngest Busch. Will she eventually challenge her brother and father on the track, continuing the racing tradition? Only time will tell. But it looks like the Busch family racing legacy is in good hands with the next generation on the rise.
