NASCAR’s plan to organize a full-on racing festival-like event with musical concerts, food, and fun family time was thwarted by the rain. The number of spectators expected during the actual race event was cut short too. But even with such setbacks, the Chicago Race Weekend turned out to be quite a success.

Whether it’s the massive 4.795 million viewership that the race garnered on NBC (NBC’s second most-watched Cup Series race since the race in Indianapolis, 2017) or the excitement of witnessing a debutante bagging the victory, the weekend was full of great moments and it delivered on the promise of good racing.
