Kyle Busch is shrugging off his disappointing 2024 season in the best way possible. After 22 years, Rowdy has made a thrilling return to the track in a Legends car, reigniting memories of his dominant early days. Fans were reminded of the era when he secured an incredible eight consecutive wins in a single season. With an impressive record of 65 victories in the legend car genre, Busch’s return was nothing short of iconic.

As he took the wheel, nostalgia swept over longtime supporters who have followed “Rowdy” since the beginning. Now, with his son Brexton embarking on his own racing journey, speculation is already brewing about the possibility of a father-son showdown in the future.

Samantha’s witty motivation for her husband Busch

It only seemed yesterday when Kyle Busch made his debut in the world of motor racing and one of the first genres that he had rocked was the Legends Car. For Busch fans who have followed his career trajectory, one would know that the last time he was in a Legends car, he had not even made an entry into the world of the NASCAR Cup Series. His prowess on the Legends tracks cannot be understated as he accounted for two championship wins. Both of these wins came at the much coveted Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring between 1999 and 2001. Now, in 2025, he is back to his roots, and his wife, Samantha Busch, is right beside him, hyping him up.

Both Kyle Busch and his wife Samantha, took to Instagram and shared snippets of Busch getting into the No. 51 Legends car. As Busch took to Instagram and posted the video, he captioned it “First laps in a legend in nearly 22 years. Yay!!😁” The white boxy-looking car seemed to be quite small given the generic stature of the Legends car. His wife also seemed to have a playful take on it. As Busch got into the car, he mentioned how hot he felt in the car. Replying to the same, his wife said, “You are hot babe.” As she posted the story of her “hot” husband, she captioned, “There’s something you don’t see every day.”

Not only Kyle Busch, but his son Brexton has also etched a place in the hearts of the fans. He was seen last season in his midget car at the Tulsa Shootout along with Daddy Busch. Brexton won his first Golden Driller at Tulsa as his parents cheered on from the sidelines. The young driver has shown quite some progress so far and earned acclamation from legends like Kyle Busch’s Cup Series team owner Richard Childress too. Childress had said, “he is a winner, he’s a good little driver.” Given that both the Busch boys have a flourishing racing career, fans cannot wait and have poured in requests for a stint together.

Fans make their requests well known for the Busch drivers

As the videos got into social media, fans could not help but envision Brexton and Kyle Busch taking on the tracks together, in a Legends car. Kyle Busch as a father has been very particular about his son’s career journey. Given that the two were last seen together at the Tulsa Shootout and it did spark hopes among the fans to see them together at the track, a fan commented, “Please tell me we are going to get a father/son race soon….”

Another fan also resonated with the same feeling. For most of the Legend car drivers, the Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring is like the mecca of racing. Consequently, he requested a clash of the Buschs on the same track. The comment read, “Battle of the Busch’s at the Bullring?” Fans have become quite perseverant that they want to witness the little Busch and Rowdy battle it out to victory lane in a Legends car. A fan comment read, “Hear me out, Braxton V Busch in a Legend car.” Ignoring the glaring spelling error (Brexton, not Braxton), the sentiment is well captured.

Kyle Busch had taken on to the world of racing from the tender age of 13 and he has his fair share of experience across various genres. The Legends car forms a very big part of his journey and has indeed added to his credibility as a driver. Given that Busch’s journey to owning the most wins across NASCAR’s three national series started in a Legends car, one fan commented, “the car that made a champion.”

While his 2024 season might not have been the best and has accounted for zero wins, his fans are hopeful that the new season will bring in new success. Harping on the same, another fan commented, “KFB will become the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion.” With fans rallying for a Busch family battle, the roar of Legends cars on the track might soon echo with a story of legacy, rivalry, and a new chapter of racing.
