Last year in October 2022, a viral Tik Tok video compared Joe Gibbs Racing driver Ty Gibbs to an iconic Disney animated character Dash Parr. Apart from this, the video also referred to Ty as a “spoiled brat” while tagging it with the words “tygibbss*cks.” Harsh, right?
But since the video went viral, many people shared that Ty Gibbs does weirdly remind them of Dash Parr. And, now, it seems like the 20-year-old has decided to take the high road. Instead of seeing this as a negative comparison, Gibbs hilariously embraced the hate by acknowledging that he is NASCAR’s Dash.
Owing to this, the Xfinity driver shared a picture of Dash on his Instagram story. And to top it all, he changed his Twitter profile picture to honor his new identity.

It is not the first time that Gibbs has found himself at the center of fan interactions. Last year, when Kyle Busch could not secure a deal with Joe Gibbs Racing, fans alleged that it was a cover-up by Joe Gibbs to pit his grandson Ty in Busch’s car.
Furthermore, when Ty wrecked his teammate Brandon Jones at Martinsville last year, it did not sit well with NASCAR fans. Mad at Gibbs for his actions, they took to Twitter to unleash a storm of backlash.
Apart from this, Joe Gibbs‘ holding off Noah Gragson for the Xfinity Series title also created an uproar among NASCAR fans. However, this time, it seems like NASCAR fans on Twitter agree with the young driver for once.
NASCAR fans react to Ty Gibbs’ new profile picture
As soon as Ty Gibbs uploaded his new and let’s just say hilariously accurate profile picture, NASCAR fans went berserk in the comment section. While most people could not get over the resemblance between the two, some others admitted that they were not expecting this from Gibbs.
Dang
Looks just like you 😂
