Kyle Busch kicked off a new chapter in his legendary NASCAR career with Richard Childress Racing by winning his 61st Cup Series race and his first with the team. The two-time Cup Series champ depicted some promising signs while driving a Chevy at the Colesium, Daytona 500, and Fontana, as he aims to win another championship with his new team this season. Busch’s recent success came after his controversial exit from Joe Gibbs Racing last year. Notably, Kyle Busch recently made a huge admission about RCR’s potential following his career-altering move to the team.
Kyle Busch recently made an appearance on the NASCAR LIVE podcast alongside co-host Jason Toy. While shedding light on his recent win, Busch praised the potential of his team and their success in recent times.

In the recent edition of the NASCAR LIVE podcast, Kyle Busch shared that it felt ‘awesome’ to get his first win of the season with his new team in the Chevy Camero sponsored by Lucas Oil. Moreover, the 2009 Xfinity Series champ also commended the efforts of his teammates for making his car faster. Busch stated, “It was certainly a fast race car, felt really good from the very beginning. We worked on it all day long, to try and continue to improve it, make it better, and Man we sure did!”
Moreover, Busch was ‘exceptionally excited’ about his car this year as he felt he had a chance of winning at every track he had been to so far. Further, Jason Toy pointed out that the Busch is working with a new crew chief, new spotters, and various sponsors this year. The co-host also inquired if Busch was surprised to be able to win so early with his new team.
In response, the Richard Childress Racing driver said, “Yes and No. You know, the A-car was fast at the Clash last year. The Chevys have always been fast on superspeedways and so I expected to be quick there. And then, you know, ran way better than I thought actually with the backup car.”

The #8 Chevy driver suggested that leading the 200th lap and the 500-mile marker at the Daytona 500 was exciting for him. However, unfortunately for Busch, he missed out on yet another chance of winning his first Daytona 500. Moreover, Busch hoped to continue building on the efforts made by his team last year.
