Following the shooting that took place at a mall in Minnesota, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was seen fleeing the scene along with his son and several other shoppers. The driver later confirmed that both he and his family escaped unhurt. Luckily, the shooter did not hit anyone, and the police were able to secure the place soon.

The shooting began as a confrontation between two parties. One of them opened fire from inside a Nike store. Following the gunshots, Busch was seen in news footage, exiting the premises with his son holding his hands, alongside several other panicked shoppers. Soon after, police officers surrounded the building and took control of the situation at hand.
Later on, in an Instagram story, Kyle Busch posted a picture of his family together with the caption reading, “We r all thankful to b safe after yesterday’s events at Mall of America. We appreciate everyone’s concern n messages of support.”

Following the stress that the Busch family might have had to go through after the mall shootings, it remains to be answered if the two-time cup series champion will be comfortable going racing later this week.
NASCAR races at the Michigan International Speedway this weekend. Kyle Busch is comfortably seated in the 11th spot for playoffs. Even if he does miss the race to recover from what went down a day prior, it would not hurt his playoff chances much.
