The future of Joe Gibbs Racing driver, Kyle Busch, is under speculation. With M&M’s taking their hands off the sport, the 2022 season being their last, Toyota and JGR are struggling to find a new sponsorship for their #18 driver.
In a recent interview, Busch talked about the changes he would have to face with the new sponsor. Without his old sponsor’s support, which made him quite successful, the two-time Cup Champion thinks he might not have the freedom to act and react to certain situations.

Talking about the incident in Martinsville in 2020, the interviewer asked, “Are you more forgiving when other drivers like Kevin Harvick do things like that due to desperation?”
To the question, Busch replied, “Do you give some benefit of the doubt to the situation? Yeah”
“I think I was already out there by then so I wasn’t racing for anything and he was. Maybe I let that one slide, but there’s maybe a 12 percent chance I let that slide.”
“If I’m going for one point, one spot and Kevin is the guy and he’s still in it then he might get it, I don’t know.”

And on the last lap, Harvick took a desperate measure by nudging Busch from the rear for the playoffs. However, he himself got wrecked after the push from behind and was left facing the wrong way, near the inside wall, just a hundred feet away from the finish line.
Because of this unfortunate incident, Harvick couldn’t reach his goal of making it into the playoffs.
