In a recent interview regarding NASCAR’s changing landscape, Busch recognized the various tracks and expectations drivers have to deal with. Atlanta Motor Speedway now hosts speedway races and superspeedway races, road courses, intermediates, short-tracks, and even a street course. The #8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driver expressed his opinion of exposing his son to multiple racing styles as a father. During the pre-race interview, Rowdy also stated,” The one thing that we’re a little bit short on right now is just the road course kart stuff that Keelan has been high on. We haven’t done as much of that, and Brexton keeps asking me about doing it and why we haven’t done it. And I’m like – bro; there’s only so much time in the day (laughs).. we’re pretty slammed as it is. But hopefully, being able to get out to Trackhouse Motorplex a little bit more, especially as the off-season gets there – that’s sort of the time where I always ran road course stuff was always winter races. So I’d love to take him out there and just kind of get his feet wet more in that.”

The clash between the Richard Childress Racing driver and the Stewart-Haas Racing driver will continue to be the main focus of NASCAR spectators. As they battle it out, not only on the tracks but also away from them, the passion and intensity of this competition are making records for the sport.

The spark which set this rivalry ablaze came in 2010, with multiple on-track incidents and heated interactions both on and off the raceway. This passion and drive to win—no matter the cost—only served to further fuel the fire between the two drivers.
